해발고도 3,776m로 일본에서 가장 높은 산이며 활화산입니다. 가을, 겨울과 봄이면 흰눈이 쌓인 하얀 후지산을 볼 수 있습니다. 북쪽인 야마나시현(山梨県)에서 보는 후지산 윗 부분은 큰 균열이 있습니다.
